Getting started

High Growth Playbooks is built for ambitious, scaling businesses that want to build the skills, structure and leadership capability needed for sustained high growth. We typically work with organisations of 25 or more (normally 50-500) employees whose growth is outpacing the capability of their people, processes or culture.

It is particularly valuable for businesses with first-time or developing managers, leadership teams navigating rapid growth or significant change, and organisations that want consistent standards across teams rather than ad-hoc or one-off training.

High Growth Playbooks is unlikely to be the right fit for businesses with fewer than 50 employees (unless preparing for investment or high growth), organisations that are not currently growing or actively investing in development, or teams looking primarily for compliance training or academic theory.

Our platform is built for organisations that want to embed practical, repeatable behaviours that drive performance and growth. If that is not the current priority, it is probably not the right moment.

Most training platforms offer large libraries of generic content that anyone can browse and consume in any order. High Growth Playbooks is built differently.

Every Playbook is structured around the HGP Framework, our proprietary research-grounded model for how high growth businesses operate well. Content is role-specific, so each person receives the version built for their level and responsibilities rather than a one-size-fits-all course. It is delivered inside Microsoft Teams, so there is no new platform to learn and no separate login. And it is designed to change behaviour, not just transfer knowledge.

We think of it as an embedded capability operating system rather than a content library. The goal is not learning for its own sake but building the habits, judgement and standards that make a scaling business perform reliably.

High Growth Playbooks is designed to produce measurable improvements in leadership capability, management standards, performance conversations, commercial awareness and execution consistency across teams.

The platform works best when senior leadership visibly supports it, managers are held accountable for applying what they learn, and Playbooks are embedded into existing rhythms such as one-to-ones, planning cycles and performance reviews. Used that way, it builds capability that compounds over time rather than fading after a workshop.

The platform

A Playbook is a structured learning journey focused on a specific growth-critical capability, such as performance management, strategic decision-making, leading change, or handling a grievance.

Each Playbook is divided into Modules, and each Module into Steps. A Step is a short, focused unit of learning that can be completed in a single sitting. Steps follow the HGP Learning Model, moving through engagement, understanding and application, with reflection and interactive content built in throughout.

Playbooks are not generic courses. They are designed to change how people operate day to day, combining practical frameworks, tools and clear behavioural standards with content that is tailored to each audience Layer.

There are four types, each designed for a different kind of need.

Functional Playbooks are the core guides within each Library, covering the essential topics a high growth business needs to run well in that functional area. They form the foundation of the system.

Use-Case Playbooks address specific, high-stakes situations such as a grievance, a disciplinary process, a restructure, preparing for a funding round, or supporting someone through a capability improvement plan. Because the people involved vary by situation, the Layers in Use-Case Playbooks reflect the specific roles in that scenario rather than the standard eight.

101 Playbooks are cross-library foundation modules on the topics every high growth business must understand, such as Goals, Feedback or Performance. They work as standalone primers and are also used for free trials.

Pathway Playbooks cut across the Libraries to follow a single audience on a complete development journey. The High Growth Manager and The High Growth Leader are examples. They are particularly well suited to high-potential people who have not followed a traditional business education route, giving them the frameworks, language and confidence that an MBA might otherwise provide.

A Library is a curated collection of Playbooks covering a core functional area of the business. There are twelve Libraries in total, spanning Leadership, Management, Strategy, Performance Management, High Performance Culture, Growth, Operating Model, Employee Lifecycle, Universal Workplace Skills, Professional Skills, Risk and Governance, and Private Equity and Investment.

Each Library contains between six and ten Playbooks that are designed to work together as a complete system, using shared language, shared models and consistent structures. Licensing a full Library gives your organisation joined-up capability across an entire function, at a significantly lower cost per Playbook than licensing individually.

The HGP Framework is our proprietary, research-grounded model for how high growth businesses operate well across every function. It is not a single model but a family of Library-level Framework Models, each developed over years of research and practitioner experience.

Within each Library Framework, a set of focused mini-models addresses the specific topics that matter most. In Performance Management, for example, the Framework includes dedicated models for Goals, Feedback and the CPMOS, the Continuous Performance Management Operating System that defines the full annual cycle of conversations, check-ins and reviews.

The practical effect of this is that every Playbook, across every Library and every audience Layer, uses consistent language, consistent models and consistent standards. Capability built in one area reinforces every other. Your organisation develops a coherent way of working rather than a patchwork of unconnected training.

Layers are the distinct audience groups that each Playbook is written for. The eight standard Layers: are Employee, Line Manager, Manager, Senior Individual Contributor, Leader, C-Suite, Board and HR.

Every Playbook delivers the same core message but tailors the depth, angle and application to each Layer. A Manager gets practical tools for running the process day to day. A Board member gets the oversight lens and the right questions to ask. HR gets the policy framework and escalation routes.

When you roll out a Playbook, your administrator assigns each person to the appropriate Layer for their role. In most cases this maps straightforwardly to how your business is structured, and we help you work through it during onboarding if needed.

Getting set up

Setup is straightforward. You share your Azure ID, your administrator gets immediate access to the platform, and from there you can begin allocating Playbooks to your people. Because everything runs inside Microsoft Teams, there are no new systems to install, no complex integrations and minimal IT involvement.

Most organisations are up and running within a few weeks of signing. We provide onboarding support to make sure the rollout goes smoothly and your administrator is confident from day one.

Day-to-day management sits with your administrator, typically your HRD or someone delegated by them. From the admin area they can allocate individuals to specific Playbooks and Layers, control access by team, cohort or role, monitor engagement and progress, and add or remove users as your organisation changes.

There is no heavy system setup and no technical expertise required. The platform is designed to be genuinely simple to manage, even as your organisation grows.

Pricing is based on a company-wide licence model, with the cost depending on the size of your organisation and the Playbooks or Libraries you select. We do not charge per course or per individual user.

High Growth Playbooks is positioned as a strategic capability investment rather than a training subscription. If you are comparing us to mass-market e-learning platforms on price per seat, we are probably not the right benchmark. We focus on the capability and performance impact rather than the volume of content.

For accurate pricing based on your organisation and objectives, the best starting point is a demo conversation.

Yes. We offer a free trial using one of our 101 Playbooks, giving your team full access to a real Playbook inside the real platform, inside Microsoft Teams. There is no curated walkthrough or partial demo. You get the complete thing, so you can make a genuinely informed decision.

We are also currently accepting a small number of Launch Partners, organisations that want to be first to embed the platform and help shape how it develops. Launch Partners receive preferential terms on a twelve-month licence along with dedicated onboarding support. If that sounds relevant, we would be glad to talk
